Gophers In 14th After Two Rounds of Lady Northern

The University of Minnesota women's golf team is in 14th place after two rounds of the Lady Northern in State College, Pa. The Gophers shot rounds of 313-316 for a 53-over-par score of 629. They trail tournament leader Kent State by 44 shots heading into tomorrow's final round at the Blue Course.

Individually, freshman Samantha Sommer led the Gophers with a 12-over 156 and is tied for 34th. Junior Sydney Liles was a shot back in a tie for 42nd at 157. Junior Young Na Lee is 16-over and is tied for 52nd while sophomore Christine Herzog is 17-over in a tie for 61st. Freshman Mary Narsizi seeing her first action for the Gophers is tied for 71st at 21-over 165 and junior Paige Bromen is tied for 82nd at 25-over 169.
