Robin Huebner was an outstanding Gopher gymnast who won honors in both AIAW and NCAA competition. Huebner set school records in the all-around as well as the vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. The AIAW Region 6 uneven bars champion in 1980, Huebner went on to earn three AIAW All-America honors in the 1982 AIAW National Championships, while also finishing second on the uneven bars and floor exercise, and fifth in the all-around. She would go on to win the AIAW Region 6 all-around title later that year. Huebner won the NCAA Central Region all around, uneven bars and floor exercise championships that next year en route to finishing 24th in the all around at the NCAA nationals. A six-time Big Ten Champion, Huebner was the first Gopher to win the Big Ten all-around title, which she did on two separate occasions. Among her many honors and accolades, Huebner was named Minnesota's Senior Athlete of the Year in 1983.
