Minnesota Baseball to Host Intersquad Game on Feb. 2

The Minnesota baseball program will play its first intersquad game of the spring season on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Metrodome. The intersqaud game will last from 1 to 4 p.m.
Following the game, there will postgame reception for alumni and other guests in the Rally Room. Alumni can get in for free, while other guests will have to pay $5 for the reception.
Minnesota will hold its first full team practice at the Metrodome on Friday, Feb. 1 from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
The Golden Gophers return 13 letterwinners from a team that finished 41-18, advanced to the NCAA Regionals and finished tied for second in the Big Ten at 18-9. Minnesota also advanced to the Big Ten Tournament Championship for a conference record seventh straight time. The Golden Gophers also return a pair of First-Team All-Big Ten honorees in junior third baseman Nate Hanson (Chanhassen, Minn.) and junior outfield Matt Nohelty (Rothschild, Wis.), along with Third-Team All-Big Ten junior lefthander Kyle Carr (Linton, N.D.).
