University of Minnesota Football Strength and Conditioning Internship:

This non-paying internship intends to provide an intensive, advanced theoretical and practical overview of the principles and methods covered in modern strength and conditioning athletic development. The intern is required to work in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Football Program in developing a systematic approach for designing the necessary protocol for division I football athletes. Daily duties include programming, planning, development, and implementation of speed and strength training programs. Other duties include daily management, operational tasks, research in the strength and conditioning field, and maintenance of the strength-training facilities. In addition, the intern will work with the nutritional needs of the athletes. This position requires general background knowledge in Kinesiology and strength training as well as the ability to teach proper and safe lifting techniques including Olympic lifts. This internship intends to encourage the application of logical reasoning, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking methods. Please send a cover letter, resume and 3 references to:
