University of Minnesota women’s gymnastics co-head coaches Jim and Meg Stephenson have announced that three gymnasts will join the Golden Gopher program for the 2009-2010 season. Jasmine Brown (Murrieta, Calif.), Janell Campbell (Germantown, Wis.), and Shannon Golich (Aurora, Ill.) have signed National Letters of Intent, and will begin their freshman year at Minnesota in the fall of 2009.
"Loving to compete and performing beautiful gymnastics, these three women join the Golden Gophers at an exciting time," explained co-head coach Meg Stephenson. "It is exciting for them as their abilities combine with a team of seasoned, driven, and gifted gymnasts; and it's exciting for us as they bring similar traits to help our team’s continuous rise in the ranks of the NCAA. We are thrilled with this class."
