Katherine Harms and Mia Tabberson were named to the 2008-09 Under Armour High School All-American Volleyball teams on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Harms and Tabberson were two of only 48 players nationally to be named to the list. Harms was named to the First-Team, while Tabberson received Second-Team All-American honors.

Each of the 24 players on the First-Team will be invited to play in the inaugural Under Armour All-America High School Volleyball Match and Skills Competition. That event will be held at the Qwest Center in Omaha on Dec. 21 in conjunction with the AVCA Annual Convention. Minnesota will be one of 18 universities to have a future player in the program participating in that match.

Minnesota is also one of only eight programs to have two or more players receive High School All-American honors.
