Minnesota Ranked No. 12 in Nation

The Minnesota volleyball team is ranked No. 12 in the Bison Inc./AVCA Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday, Nov. 24. The Golden Gophers received 840 points in this week’s poll.
It marks the ninth time Minnesota has been in the top 12 this year, and the 12th time it has been the second highest ranked Big Ten team in the poll this season. The Golden Gophers enter the week with a 9-4 record against ranked opposition.
This past week the Golden Gophers won a pair of home matches against No. 20 Michigan (3-1) and Ohio State (3-1)
Minnesota is among five Big Ten teams that were ranked in this week’s poll. Penn State is No. 1, Illinois is No. 15, Purdue is No. 18 and Michigan is No. 20. The Big Ten has the second most teams behind the Pac-10 in the top 25 with six.
The Golden Gophers will travel to Iowa on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m., and will finish the regular-season at Michigan State on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. Both matches can be heard on gophersports.com.
