Brewster, Maturi Open Markets at NASDAQ

Representatives from the University of Minnesota, the University of Kansas, the Insight Bowl and Insight Enterprises took part in opening the NASDAQ Monday morning in New York City.

On hand from Minnesota were Head Football Coach Tim Brewster and Director of Athletics Joel Maturi. Their counterparts from Kansas -- A.D. Lew Perkins and Head Coach Mark Mangino -- also took part in the ceremony. The event was streamed live on the Internet and was also covered live by CNBC, CNBC India, CNBC.com, KTVU, NDTV (New Delhi), Business News Network (Canada), Bloomberg and Bloomberg Brazil.

The Insight Bowl matchup between Minnesota and Kansas is slated for Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. MST (5 p.m. CST). The game will be played in Tempe, Ariz. at Sun Devil Stadium on the campus of Arizona State University.
