All three games can be heard on gophersports.com, and the final two games will be broadcast on KLBB (1220 AM). Pacific enters the series with a 2-12 record, while Minnesota is 4-5 overall this season. The Golden Gophers' trip to Stockton will be their second roadtrip of the 2008 season.

Minnesota will travel to California for the fourth time in six seasons when it heads to Stockton for a three-game series at Pacific. The Golden Gophers return to Stockton for the first time since 2003 when they started a 10-day, nine-game road trip to California at Pacific. That year, Minnesota swept the Tigers, before facing San Jose State, Sacramento State and Fresno State on the remainder of the trip. In 2004, the Golden Gophers faced Cal State Fullerton (three times), Cal State Northridge (once) and UC Irvine (three times) in a nine-day, seven-game road trip. Minnesota also faced Pepperdine and UC Santa Barbara in a five-game roadtrip last year. This year, the Golden Gophers have already played a pair of teams from the state of California. Minnesota defeated No. 29 Pepperdine 5-2 in the Dairy Queen Classic and lost to No. 18 California in the Metrodome Tournament.

Since 2003, Minnesota has faced five different Big Ten West teams in a total of 17 games. The Golden Gophers have gone against Cal State Fullerton (eight times), Cal State Northridge (once), Pacific (three times), UC Irvine (three times) and UC Santa Barbara (twice) during that stretch. Minnesota won two of three from Cal State Fullerton in 2003 at the Metrodome, lost two of three on the road in 2004 and dropped a pair of NCAA Regional games to the Titans in 2004 and 2007. The Golden Gophers won a single game at Cal Northridge in 2004, swept a three-game series at Pacific in 2003, lost two of three at UC Irvine in 2004 and swept a pair of games at UC Santa Barbara last year. Overall, Minnesota is 10-7 against the Big West since 2003, and has a 13-8 all-time record against the conference.

Starting on Mar. 14, Minnesota will play a stretch of 14 games in 18 days. The Golden Gophers will start a three-game series at Pacific on Mar. 14-16. Minnesota returns home to host a two-game series against North Dakota State on Mar. 18-19 at the Metrodome, will then face South Dakota State in a three-game series on Mar. 21-23, will host No. 6 Missouri on Mar. 25-26 and will wrap up the stretch by starting Big Ten play against Indiana in a four-game series on Mar. 28-30. That 11-game homestand is the longest for the Golden Gophers since 2005 when they had a 19-game homestand at the Metrodome.
