University of Minnesota sophomore diver Jacqueline Schroeder (Edina, Minn.) wrapped up competition at the NCAA Zone C Championships with an 11th place finish on the platform this afternoon. Schroeder finished 11th on the 3-meter springboard yesterday and 19th on the 1-meter on Friday.

Schroeder tallied a five-dive score of 207.05 in the finals for a two-list score of 391.15. He score was just 3.35 points from finishing eighth in the tightly bunched field. Her top dive was a back 2 1/2 somersault pike in the finals that earned sixes and sevens and a score of 55.10.

"Overall, Jaq had a good weekend," head diving coach Jason Baumann said. "Jaq has only been diving tower for a year-and-a-half so she is a relative newcomer. She is getting stronger every day and she has a world-class entry. She did some things very well this weekend but I think she has the ability to be a top level performer."

Schroeder will be in action at the USA Diving Nationals at University Aquatic Center in April. The qualifying session will be April 13-14 with the championships April 16-20. It will be final major competition leading up to the U.S. Olympic Trials.
