Alessandra Ferrazzi clinched the 4-3 victory for the Gophers in the final match of the day as she took a closely contested No. 1 match in three sets. Ferrazzi won the first set 6-1, but dropped the next one 2-6. Ferrazzi took the final set 6-4 to give her a victory at both her singles and doubles match.
Tijana Koprivica also won both her singles and double matches as she teamed up with Ferrazzi to win the No. 2 doubles 8-4. In her singles match, Koprivica won 6-3, 6-1 over Purdue's Joanna Craven at the No. 4.
Mousseau was the only other Gopher to win both her doubles and singles match as her and teammate Jackie Sperling won 8-6 at the No. 3 doubles. Mousseau also won her No. 5 singles 7-5, 7-5, but Sperling fell in her No. 6 singles 4-6, 6-7 (5-7).
Karina Chiarelli and Lindsay Risebrough fell in their No. 1 doubles match 8-3 to Brooke Beier and Stephanie Wooten of Purdue. Chiarelli also lost 6-7 (3-7), 2-6 in her No. 3 singles and Risebrough last at her No. 2 singles 2-6, 2-6.
