Tickets were once again hard to come by during the 2007-08 men's hockey season as the University of Minnesota ranked third among all NCAA Division I teams in average attendance at 9,943 fans per game.

Seats for every Minnesota home game were sold out with attendance figures varying by standing room tickets sold. Minnesota had a total season attendance of 198,854 tickets sold for its 20 home games. The Gophers drew at least 10,000 people for 10 of their 20 home games and the largest crowd was 10,231 for a 4-4 tie against Wisconsin on Feb. 23.

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association dominated the national attendance rankings with six of the top nine schools. In fact, all 10 WCHA schools ranked in the top half of the 59 Division I hockey-playing schools.

Minnesota ranked third behind league rivals Wisconsin and North Dakota for the seventh consecutive season. Wisconsin averaged 14,133 fans per game and North Dakota averaged 11,709 fans per contest.

Colorado College was fourth in the country at 6,932 fans per game, while Denver was eighth with a 5,933 average and St. Cloud State was ninth with a 5,872 average.
