Gophers at the State Fair Today

The University of Minnesota athletics department will have a variety of Golden Gopher teams visiting the University of Minnesota booth at the Minnesota State Fair, Tuesday, August 26th. The Gopher athletic programs featured tomorrow will host a question and answer session on the U of M stage during their scheduled times. Men's basketball play-by-play announcer, Mike Grimm, will emcee the event, starting as early as 10 a.m. and will run until 3:30 p.m.
The Gopher alumni band will kick off the festivities at 10 a.m. as well as concluding the event at 3:30 p.m. The Gopher softball team is the first team to be featured at 10:30 a.m., followed by a full hour of men's hockey coaching staff and players at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Following the men's hockey team is women's hockey (12 p.m.), baseball (12:30 p.m.) and a TCF construction update with associate athletics director Phil Esten (1 p.m.). Afternoon teams to be featured will be volleyball (2 p.m.), men's and women's swimming (2:30 p.m.) and men's and women's tennis (3 p.m.)
