Minnesota Softball Hosts Fall Invitational

The University of Minnesota women’s softball program will host its annual Fall Invitational this weekend at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium. Admission to the entire event is free and open to the public.
The Gophers, coming off a 29-16 season that marked the program’s best winning percentage since 2003, will play four games this weekend. Minnesota will play St. Cloud and Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday before taking on North Dakota State and Concordia University on Sunday. The full schedule for the event is as follows:

The Gophers will begin their 2009 season at the South Florida Invitational Feb. 6-8 in Tampa, Fla. Minnesota will host their annual Metrodome Tournament Feb. 12-15, 2009.
