Set The Robbie Attendance Record

10/14/2009 12:00:00 AM | Soccer

Soccer fans, come be part of history as Golden Gopher Soccer shoots for the Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium attendance record.

On Rock the Robbie Night, when Minnesota hosts Penn State on Oct. 16 at 7:00 p.m., the Gophers want the fans to pack the stands and give them the home field advantage they have grown so fond of. The current record stands at 1,751 set in 2005, but on Friday night, the goal will be 2,000 strong at beautiful Robbie Stadium.

It will be a Gold Out at the Robbie, so be sure to come in Gopher Gold and make the stands sea of Gold as you cheer on your Golden Gophers. Admission to the game is just $1.00, but all U of M students get in free.

The Gophers have not lost at home in 19 straight matches dating back to the 2007 season. Don't miss your chance to cheer them to another victory, and be part of history, as the first place Golden Gophers host the Nittany Lions with a record crowd looking on!
