Cheever covered the 5-kilometer course at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in a time of 18 minutes, 47.59 seconds. Former Gopher All-American Emily Brown won the race in 18:30.74.

The meet was not a team scoring event. Other Gophers finishing in the top 10 were Kelly Wilson in fourth (18:56.02), Katie Dyson in sixth (19:09.65) and Claire Rindo in ninth (19:28.03).

The Gophers rested their top eight runners in preparation for the upcoming Big Ten Championships on Sunday, Nov. 1. Minnesota is the two-time defending champion in the event.
