Three-Set Loss Ends Koprivica's ITA Run

Minnesota's Tijana Koprivica saw her run at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Regional tournament come to an end in the quarterfinals with a three-set loss on Saturday in Norman, Okla.
Koprivica, the tournament's fifth seed, lost for the second time this season to third-seeded Ana-Maria Constantinescu of Oklahoma 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. Koprivica, who won three straight matches to reach the quarterfinals, is now 10-5 overall for the season and also lost a tight match to Constantinescu 7-6, 6-3 in a tournament in California three weeks ago.
Koprivica was the last remaining Gopher entrant in the 64-player tournament. Minnesota is off next weekend and returns to action Nov. 6-8 at the North Carolina Tournament.
