The Gophers (299-310 – 609) slipped back one position after shooting a second round 310 in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Tuesday. The windy conditions caused scores to be higher in the second round as Arizona (284-294 – 578) took over first place at a 36-hole score of two-over par.

Junior Teresa Puga (73-77 – 150) leads the Gophers at six-over. Freshman Jackie Shepherd (75-76 – 151) moved up 12 places on the leaderboard after another strong showing. Junior Samantha Sommers (78-74 – 152) shot the best round today for the Gophers and moved into a tie for 48th. Senior Christine Herzog (76-83 – 159) and junior Michelle Edlin (75-88 – 163) rounded out the Gopher lineup.

Minnesota currently sits two strokes behind Colorado and Texas Tech and will look to move up the leaderboard after Wednesday’s final round.
