Jamie Dittmar Seventh in Blugold Open

The Minnesota women’s cross country team split its squad to compete in two events this weekend. A Gopher contingent placed fourth with 125 points at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Open on Friday in Colfax, Wis. Jamie Dittmar finished seventh overall to pace the Gophers, covering the 6-kilometer course in a time of 22 minutes, 48.39 seconds.
Other Gopher scorers were Kathryn Ritter in 29th place (23:22.50), Laura Koch in 35th (23:33.68), Jenna Lewein in 47th (23:53.54) and Becca Gusmer in 51st (24:02.66).
No. 9 Minnesota’s top 12 runners will compete in the South Dakota State Invitational on Saturday in Brookings, S.D.
