Cowles Named to All-Tournament Team

Junior outside hitter Hailey Cowles (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was named to the Final Four All-Tournament Team.
Cowles had 12 kills, hit .348 (12-4-23), had six digs, two service aces and two assists in a three-set loss to Texas in the National Semifinal match on Dec. 17.
She was joined on the All-Tournament team by Texas' Juliann Faucette and Ashley Engle. Penn State had three players named to the team, as Alisha Glass, Megan Hodge and Arielle Wilson all claimed the honors. Despite the fact that the Nittany Lions won the National Title, Texas outside hitter Destinee Hooker was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Cowles joins Cassie Busse (2003), Paula Gentil (2004) and Erin Martin (2004) as one of four Golden Gophers to be named to the Final Four All-Tournament team.
