Detour on Fourth Street to follow Gophers Hockey

2/13/2009 12:00:00 AM | Athletics

Fourth Street, between Oak Street and 17th Avenue, will be temporarily closed following tonight’s Gopher men’s and women’s hockey games to repair a pipe, Athletics Department officials announced Friday.

The construction will result in traffic being diverted north on Oak to west on Fifth Street and then south on 17th Avenue and back to Fourth. The detour is expected to be in place between 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, when Fourth Street will be temporarily reopened.

Fourth Street will be closed again following Saturday night’s Gopher hockey games after 10:30 p.m. to complete the repairs. Work on the project is expected to be completed by Sunday morning, with Fourth Street slated to reopen by 9 a.m.
