David Crum David joined the University Athletics Department in June of 2007. In his role as Director of Development, he oversees the Golden Gopher Fund, which is responsible for major gifts fundraising, capital campaign projects, scholarship funds, annual giving, endowments and gift planning. In addition, he oversees fundraising for the new TCF Bank Stadium, which includes premium seat sales and the new Gopher Points System. Before coming to the University of Minnesota, David served as Assistant Athletics Director for Major Gifts at Iowa State University for three years. Prior to that poisition, he served as Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Operations at ISU, during which time he oversaw extensive expansion of ticket operations for Cyclone fans. Prior to Crum’s appointment at Iowa State, he was the Director of Ticketing and Game Management at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. He also served as the Assistant Ticket Manager at Nebraska in 1994, and Vault Supervisor for the Central Ticket Office at UCLA from 1991 to 1994. Crum, a native of Hettinger and Grand Forks, North Dakota, received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1989, and his master’s degree in athletics administration from Ohio State. Delinda L. (Blanck) Rood Delinda, in her sixth year at Minnesota, is responsible for the area of major gifts with her primary focus on endowed scholarships and capital campaigns. Delinda has extensive experience in athletics development, having worked in the athletics departments at Nebraska, Northwestern, and North Dakota State University. Delinda is a native of Brainerd, MN and received her undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She also received her master’s degree in sports administration from the University of Minnesota. Delinda and her husband, Marc Rood, reside in Eagan, MN. blanck@umn.edu | |
Jason Butikofer Prior to joining the Golden Gopher Fund Staff, Jason served as the Director of the Sun Angel Foundation and Ticket Office for 7 ½ years in the Arizona State University Athletic Department. Jason was instrumental in developing new donor programs and relationships, representing a 50% increase in active donors and 80% increase in funds raised for the foundation. Jason also brings private sector experience to the University of Minnesota working for 1 ½ years in the private equity world raising capital for the Phoenician Capital Group & Pacific Investment Partners. butik001@umn.edu | |
Joe Quinn Joe graduated from the University of Minnesota and was a member of the Golden Gopher Football team. He then went on to play for the Green Bay Packers for two years. Joe recently joined the Golden Gopher Fund team and is pursuing his MBA. Joe's major focus will be raising money for capital campaigns and endowed scholarships.

Mike Bjorkman Mike oversees all Annual Fund and donor recognition activities. An alum and former letter winner at the University of Minnesota, Mike is entering his 12th year in the development office. Joyce Guelich Joyce assists the Development Director and works closely with our Major Gift and Endowment campaigns. Jessica Fleischmann Jessica is in her fifth year in the Golden Gopher Fund Office. After graduating from the University of Minnesota in December of 2003 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, Jessica began her work with ICA as a student assistant in the Athletics Communications. Jessica's responsibilities include management of donor benefits and communications, coordinating annual fundraising events and special projects. In addition, she is responsible for the student-athlete scholarship fund with the budget and reporting. Jessica is currently pursuing her master’s degree in strategic communications at the school of Journalism here at the University of Minnesota. flei0031@umn.edu | |
Becky Hennen Becky has worked in the Golden Gopher Fund office since March of 2003 and is in her third year as Donor Services Coordinator. Becky's primary focuses are the management of the Preferred Seating program, coordinating and assisting with annual fundraising events and special projects, and distribution of donor benefits. She earned her degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota in 2006 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Minnesota as well. henn0252@umn.edu |
