Three Gophers Earn B Times at Gopher-It Invite

The University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving team had three student-athletes reach NCAA provisional qualifying times, today at the Gopher-It Invite at the University Aquatic Center.

Kristen Steenvoorden competed in the 400 individual medley and touched the wall in 4:12.85, improving her career-best time. Hannah Whitehead and Castina Wabeke competed in the 200 back. Wabeke added a provisional and career-best time of 1:55.61m while Whitehead clocked a time of 1:57.02, which also provisionally qualified for NCAAs.

The Gophers will wait to hear how many student-athletes will qualify for the NCAA Championships in March.
