Senior Justin Bostrom earned a spot on the Western Collegiate Hockey Association all-academic squad for the third straight year in leading six Gophers honored by the league.

Junior Brian Schack was honored for the second straight year, while senior R.J. Anderson, sophomores Drew Fisher and Mike Hoeffel and freshman Nick Larson were also named to the team. Student-athletes must have completed at least one year at their current institution prior to this season and maintain at least a 3.00 grade point average to earn a spot on the team. Larson is in his first season with the Gophers, but attended the university in 2007-08 and did not participate in hockey.

Bostrom was one of 22 players named to the team for the third straight year. This year, the WCHA honored a record 107 student-athletes. Last year, the team included 80 selections.

The remainder of the WCHA postseason awards will be presented at the annual league awards banquet on Thurs., March 19 prior to the WCHA Final Five in St. Paul.
