The first day of NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championship competition has finally arrived. The Sports Pavilion will be the scene of some intense competition today, as teams and individuals battle it out in an effort to qualify into the national Championships round of the competition.
This morning will see Stanford, Michigan, Cal-Berkeley, Penn State, Nebraska and Navy duke it out for the top three spots that will advance.
This evening will be our session, with the Golden Gophers competing against Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio State, Illinois-Chicago and Iowa for a top-three finish to advance to Friday night’s team finals. The competition tonight starts at 7 p.m. and you won’t want to miss any of the action.
It is always a fierce competition to get into the team finals and the Gophers are poised to get it done in their home arena. I hope we can get a huge contingent of Gopher Gymnastics fans out to the Sports Pavilion tonight to propel the Gophers to the next round.
Go Gophers!
