Hastings Resigns, Potulny Named Interim Assistant

University of Minnesota men’s hockey assistant coach Mike Hastings has resigned his position to accept the associate head coaching position at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
“Dean (Blais) told Mike that whoever takes this position will have a great chance to replace him down the line,” Minnesota coach Don Lucia said. “I enjoyed my year with Mike and wish him the best.”
Lucia added that volunteer assistant coach Grant Potulny will be elevated to interim assistant coach until a national search is completed.
“For now we will move forward by naming Grant Potulny interim assistant coach,” he said. “I hope to have the position filled by mid-July.”
