Well we are less than a week away from Omaha, and everyone is getting super excited. We all came in this morning for our usual breakfast from Bill and Frida. Eggs, French toast, bacon, and more. All zone of course. After breakfast we started up with practice. Everyone had been taped and was ready to go. We started with our usual partner warmup drills and from there went straight into block. We drilled in block for almost half of the practice. We also did foot work and reading where our hitters were, and then went into actual block. Once we were done with that we went in to just playing, which is our favorite thing to do. We played two games and tried to end with as much enthusiasm as we could.

Once the morning practice was over we went straight up to lunch, with a few players heading off to take the first rounds of ice baths. As usual lunch was great. We had some of the freshest fruit today! After all of us had eaten, we headed down for some relaxation time. Sitting on the couch and watching a movie, we took our naps and ate our snacks while thinking about our next practice to come. With that in mind the clock hit 1:30 and people started to get ready. Setters were going in at 2 p.m. like normal, and the rest of us would follow in as we got ready.

When 2:30 hit we were all ready to go. We had refocused and were ready for our second practice of the day. This practice was to be, a lowow impact practice...no jumping at all! We worked on blocking and reading our hitters and went in to a lot of free ball and down ball passing. Once we finished with that we stayed focused on passing and went in to serve and pass. We ended practice with a little bit of short serving and a setting game to work on aim! We ended practice well and it was the way we were all hoping it would end...on a high note.

Overall, it was a good day for us. We were able to bounce back from not our most amazing practice in the morning to a focused energized second practice! We are focused and ready to go in to Omaha next week and show Kansas State and Nebraska what we can do!
