Golden Gopher Softball Announces Fall Invite

Minneapolis - Golden Gopher Softball head coaches Lisa Bernstein and Julie Standerling have announced the dates and times for the 2009 University of Minnesota Fall Invitational.
The 2009 Fall Invite will include four teams, in addition to Minnesota, and will be played the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday Oct. 18. Concordia University (St. Paul), St. Cloud State, Iowa Lakes Community College, and Wisconsin-Superior all make appearances over the two-day invitational.
Minnesota will open the action on Oct. 17 by taking on St. Cloud State in a 10:00 am match-up, before SCSU takes on UW-Superior at noon. UW-Superior then hosts Iowa Lakes at 2:00 pm, and the day's action concludes with Concordia and Iowa Lakes at 4:00 pm.
On Oct. 18, the activity picks up again with 10:00 am tilt as Minnesota hosts Iowa Lakes, before Minnesota plays their third and final game of the weekend at noon against Concordia. At 2:00 pm Iowa Lakes ends their four games of the Invite when they play St. Cloud State, and at 4:00 pm St. Cloud State and Concordia tangle in the final contest of the 2009 Minnesota Fall Invitational.
All games will be played at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium on the University of Minnesota Campus.
