Volunteers Needed for Fifth Annual Gopher Invite

8/4/2009 12:00:00 AM | Men's Golf

The University of Minnesota men’s golf program is looking for volunteers to be part of one the finest collegiate golf tournaments in the country. From Sept. 13th-14th, some of the finest collegiate golfers in the country will gather at Spring Hill Golf Club to compete in the 5th Annual Gopher Invitational.

The Gopher Invitational is looking for Gopher fans and avid golfers to help with live scoring.  The volunteers will be working on the golf course and have a front row seat to watch future PGA Tour players compete. Also needed are volunteers to walk the golf course on Monday with a group serving as a scoreboard standard bearer, another great way to see the entire golf course and watch the final groups play an entire round.

All volunteers will receive an official tournament golf shirt and lunch on the day(s) they volunteer. Shift starting times will vary based upon the hole you are located at.  Each shift should last about five hours.

If you are interested in being a Gopher Invitational volunteer, please e-mail Associate Head Coach Andrew Tank at tankx009@umn.edu no later than Aug. 25th with the following information:
