Bryant Earns Third Weekly Honor This Season

Sophomore Kelci Bryant was named the Big Ten Conference Diver of the week after an outstanding performance at the Swimming World College Conference Championships last week.

Bryant garners her third weekly diving laurel of the season after posting a pair of top finishes to help Minnesota capture the team title at the Swimming World College Conference Championships in East Brunswick, N.J., last weekend. Bryant swept the springboard events, tallying 18 points for the Gophers overall. The Chatham, Ill., native registered a 344.50 score in the one-meter competition before adding a 394.45 mark off the three-meter board. Both winning efforts were good enough to meet NCAA qualification standards.

Bryant and the rest of the Golden Gophers travel to Madison, Wis., to compete in the Big Ten Quad Duals, Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at noon.
