Minnesota in Seventh at Lady Northern

 After recording scores of 303 and 298 in their first two rounds on Monday, the Gophers are in seventh place heading into the final round of play at the Lady Northern at Lake Shore Golf Club in Glencoe, Ill. Senior Puga is tied for fifth and four shots of the lead after 36 holes at one under par.

Puga fired a one under 71 in the second round following an even par 72 in the first round.  Senior Mary Narzisi is tied for 27th after posting back to back 75's, while Freshman Banchalee Theinthong,  playing in the first event of her career, is in a tie for 50th.

Sophomore Jackie Shepherd is tied for 54th after shooting consecutive 78's, and senior Michelle Edlin is in a tie for 54th after scoring rounds of 79 and 78 respectively.

Northwestern's Lauren Weaver and Indiana' s Lindsay Gahm are tied for the lead at five under with 18 holes remaining.

Four of the top five places in the standings are currently occupied by Big Ten schools. Purdue sits in first with a team total of 572, followed by Ohio State in second at 580. Host Northwestern (586) is six strokes in front of fourth place Texas Tech in third, while Indiana holds fifth at 595.
