10/20/2010 12:00:00 AM | Women's Swimming & Diving
Maggie Keefer, a true freshman from Stillwater, Minn., was named the Big Ten Diver of the Week after winning the 1-meter diving event and helping the Minnesota women’s swimming & diving team to a dual-meet victory over Iowa State last weekend. Keefer is the second Gopher this season to earn a Conference weekly award joining Jillian Tyler, who was named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week last week.
Keefer has enjoyed an impressive start to her collegiate career, winning the 1-meter diving event in each of the Gophers’ first three meets this season. She tallied a score of 283.80 to easily outdistance the rest of the field at the Iowa State meet.
