The Golden Gopher women’s cross country team will play host to the Fourth Annual Jack’s Run, honoring the late Minnesota equipment manager Jack Johnson, on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. Proceeds of the race are divided between the Jack Johnson Endowed Scholarship, the Angel Foundation of Minnesota and the Tesfa Foundation. The 6-kilometer run, open to the public, will begin at 10 a.m.

Race registration will be held on race day only, from 8:15-9:45 a.m. at the Les Bolstad Driving Range. Suggested donation is $20, which includes a Jack’s Run hat.

Jack Johnson will always be a part of the Minnesota women’s cross country and track programs. After serving as the Golden Gophers’ equipment manager for over three decades, Johnson passed away in February of 2006 after a battle with cancer.
