GSS Highlights Jennie Clark
10/22/2010 12:00:00 AM | Athletics
Senior defender Jennie Clark was the first Golden Gopher named to the preseason watch list for the Hermann Trophy, given to the top women’s soccer player in the nation. The season didn’t start as planned, however, as a broken collar bone against Belmont in late August cost her nine games and six weeks of her senior campaign. The Gopher captain is back and looking to lead her team into postseason play.
Clark, a native of Norwalk, Iowa, is a two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection. She has started 69 of 70 career games in her Gopher career.
Nationally ranked Minnesota hosts an important weekend of games this weekend hosting Michigan on Friday and Michigan State on Sunday.
