Elizabeth Yetzer, who completed her Minnesota cross country career a year ago, won the Jack’s Run title on Saturday with a time of 21 minutes, 53.51 seconds. Jack’s Run honors the late Minnesota equipment manager Jack Johnson who passed away in 2006. Proceeds of the race are divided between the Jack Johnson Endowed Scholarship, the Angel Foundation of Minnesota and the Tesfa Foundation.

Yetzer will be a senior on the Gopher track team next spring. Former Gopher All-America Jamie Cheever finished second in 21:58.73, followed by Amy Laskowske in third in 22:19.56. Laskowske will also run her final season of track in 2011.

Senior Kelly Wilson topped the current Gophers competing in the meet, placing fourth and covering the Les Bolstad 6-kilometer course in a time of 22:24.17. Four other Gophers posted top-10 finishes: Claire Rindo in sixth (22:50.30), Katie Dyson in seventh (22:58.37), Katie Salvatore in eighth (23:11.49) and Kathryn Ritter in 10th (23:13.90).

Minnesota rested its top runners in preparation for next weekend’s Big Ten Championships.
