Minnesota Wrestling Kick-Off Set for Saturday

The Gophers wrestling team will host the Minnesota Wrestling Kick-Off this Saturday at 4:30 p.m. CST at the Sports Pavilion on campus. Fans are invited to attend the free practice portion of Saturday's event from 4:30-5:30 before the Minnesota football team takes on Ohio State at TCF Bank Stadium at 7 p.m.

The kick-off will also give Gopher fans a glimpse at Minnesota's nationally ranked freshman class. Intermat named the freshman class of Joel Bauman, Brandon Bigelbach, Chris Dardanes, Nick Dardanes, Randy Hanson, Corey Hodowanic, Jacob Kaufman, Seth Lange, Drew Lexvold, Dylan Ness and Scott Schiller as the No. 4 recruiting class in the country this spring while four of the Gophers recruits rank in the top-six of their weight class.

Minnesota opens the 2010-11 campaign on Nov. 13 at the Bison Open in Fargo, N.D.
