All-Big Ten midfielder Katie Bethke added another honor to her list of accolades this week when she earned honorable mention for the 2010 TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Team of the Season.

Bethke likely cemented her place on the list last weekend with a three-goal performance that helped Minnesota earn its second Round of 16 berth in the last three years. The Eau Claire, Wis. native's three postseason goals are tied for the most in this year's NCAA tournament, and she currently is tied for fifth in the nation with 13 assists this season. Pacing the Big Ten's most productive offense, Bethke leads the conference in assists and trails Illinois' Vanessa DiBernardo by just two points for the conference lead with 25.

A senior for the Gophers, Bethke is one of just four Big Ten upperclassmen named to the 2010 Women's Team of the Season. Penn State's Christine Nairn earned First Team honors while Michigan State's Laura Heyboer and Alev Kelter of Wisconsin joined Bethke with honorable mentions.

Bethke will leave Minnesota with one of the most successful careers in program history. The midfielder/forward currently ranks second all-time at Minnesota with 32 career assists and also is listed among the top ten in career points (84, 5th), goals, (26, 8th) and shots (194, 6th).
