Team Notes
• Tubby Smith is now 73-40 as the head coach at Minnesota and 459-185 for his career.
• Minnesota is now 48-12 at Williams Arena with Smith on the bench.
• Minnesota was down at half for only the second time this season.
• Minnesota is now 2-0 all-time against Akron and 18-2 against MAC teams. Tubby Smith is a perfect 11-0 all-time against MAC teams.

• Blake Hoffarber finished the game with 13 points. He went over the 1,000-point plateau with a free throw in the first half. He now has 1,007 career points.
• Hoffarber is the 36th player in Gopher history to reach 1,000 career points.
• Hoffarber has 47 career double-figures scoring games.
• Hoffarber hit two treys against Akron. He is the Gopher three-point leader with 236 career makes.
• Hoffarber is fourth all-time with a .415 (236-569) three-point FG percentage.
Hoffarber had seven assists on the night. It marked the fifth time he has had six assists or more on the season. For the year, he has 54 assists and only 18 turnovers.
• Hoffarber tied a season-high with three steals on the night.
