Gophers Land 10 on Academic All-Big Ten Team

All-American Stephanie Price and three other members of the Minnesota women’s cross country lineup from the recent NCAA Cross Country Championships were honored on the Academic All-Big Ten Team on Thursday.
Price was joined on the honor squad by All-NCAA Midwest Region honoree Missa Varpness and NCAA team members Katie Moraczewski and Claire Rindo. Kayla Wagner, who was an NCAA alternate, was also named an Academic All-Big Ten.
A total of 10 Golden Gophers earned Academic All-Big Ten acclaim. Others honored were Rachel Drake, Katie Dyson, Cassy Opitz, Kathryn Ritter and Katie Salvatore.
Student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 grade point average, earn a varsity letter and be in the second year at the institution to be eligible.
