Gophers Honor Seniors This Weekend

The University of Minnesota men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in its final home meet of the season this weekend as the Golden Gophers host the Minnesota Challenge, Friday and Saturday at the University Aquatic Center. It will be the final meet before the Big Ten Championships as the women compete Feb. 17-20 in Lafayette, Ind. (hosted by Purdue), while the men's team competes Feb. 25-27 at Columbus, Ohio (hosted by Ohio State).
WHO'S WHO
The University of Minnesota will host 13 colleges this weekend in Augsburg, Carleton, Gustavus, Illinois, Minnesota State University, Mankato, Morningside, St. Cloud State, St. Mary's, South Dakota State, St. Olaf, Minnesota-Morris, St. Thomas and UW Stevens-Point. Action begins at 6 p.m. on Friday and noon and again at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
THANKS SENIORS
The men's and women's teams will honors their seniors during the annual Minnesota Challenge. The Gopher women's seniors include Amy Funk, Andrea Hanson, Corina Hopkins-Vacca, Kim Kazika and Castina Wabeke. On the men's side is Ray Betuzzi, Michael Daup, Tyler Jepsen, Jacob Kittilstad, Rob Schaefer, Mark Solfelt, Alex Wold and Nico Zebley.
