Big Ten Track and Field Tickets Going Fast

With just three weeks remaining before the University of Minnesota hosts the 2010 Big Ten Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the University Fieldhouse, athletics department officials announced Friday that all-session ticket sales continue to move at a steady pace.
According to the athletics department ticket office, fewer than 400 all-session tickets remain and at their current sales pace could result in an extremely limited amount of single-session tickets being available for the event, if any.
"This championship was a complete sell out the last time we hosted in 2002," noted championship director and associate athletics director Marc Ryan. "We fully expect the same thing to happen again this year so we are encouraging fans who are interested in attending the championship to purchase their all-session tickets in advance."
The all-session ticket includes admission to both days of the championship. Competition is slated to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, and at 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28.
All-session tickets are priced at just $12 for adults and $7 for students and seniors, and may be purchased online at www.gophersports.com, in person at the athletics ticket office in Mariucci Arena, or by calling 1-800-U-GOPHER or 612-624-8080.
