Senior Cole Storer wrapped up his Golden Gopher gymnastics career with an All-America effort Saturday at the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.

Storer finished eighth in the floor exercise at the National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics Championships. He recorded a score of 15.225.

The top eight individuals in each event during Saturday night's individual event finals earned All-America status. Storer is now a three-time All-America performer and this is his second All-America honor on the floor exercise, with the other coming during his freshman season. He also earned All-America accolades on the high bar during his sophomore year.

"It's always great to come home with some hardware from a great meet like this," Minnesota head coach Mike Burns said. "'What a great way for Cole to finish up his college career. His routine tonight was excellent and he looked very calm and confident in a high-stress situation. It was a fun set to watch."

Saturday's NCAA Championship event is the culmination of the 2010 gymnastics season for the Golden Gophers. This is the 10th consecutive season that Minnesota has finished the season with at least one All-America performer.
