Fisher Fourth in Drake High Jump

All-American high jump Matt Fisher placed fourth in the high jump at the Drake Relays on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa. Fisher cleared a height of 7 feet, 2 1/4 inches.
The Gophers’ final relay to compete at Drake was the distance medley relay. Minnesota’s foursome of Paul Hilsen, Harun Abda, Andy Richardson and Sean Olson posted a time of 9 minutes, 47.74 seconds.
Travis Burkstrand, who anchored the Gophers’ 4x800-meter relay to runner-up honors on Friday, competed in the open 800-meter run on Saturday. Burkstrand placed sixth with a time of 1:51.99.
The sprint medley relay of Cameron Boy, Sean King, Kevin Bradley and Joe McFarland placed 13th in a time of 3:25.99.
