Minnesota Wins Four Events at Hamline Unsaintly

Logan Stroman and Jon Lenz finished one-two in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Golden Gophers at Hamline’s Meet of the Unsaintly on Saturday in St. Paul. The meet serves as a final tune-up of the Big Ten Conference Championships set for next weekend.

Stroman clocked a time of 53.82 seconds to win the 400 hurdles, edging Lenz who posted a time of 55.10.

The Gophers won two other events on the track and one field event. Sean Olson ran a time of 3:44.98 to win the 1,500-meter run, while Ben Kanmpf captured the victory in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:13.11.

Minnesota’s field event champion was Sam Kettenhofen in the long jump with an effort of 22-0 3/4.
