The Golf Coaches Association of America recently announced that Gopher senior Ben Pisani has been named to the PING All-Region Team. This is the second consecutive season Pisani has been named to the All-Region Team.

A senior from Brisbane, Australia, Pisani led the Gophers in the fall and spring seasons in stroke average at 70.14 and 73.78, respectively. His combined stroke average of 72.24 this season is the fifth-lowest in the history of Minnesota golf and is his lowest in the four seasons he has been at the U. Pisani's career average of 74.24 falls just outside of the program's top-10.

Pisani, a 2010 First Team All-Big Ten performer, finished the season having posted five top-10 and nine top-20 finishes in 12 attempts, including a runner-up finish at the 2009 Gopher Invitational. He was chosen to play in the NCAA Central Regional and finished in an eight-player tie for 11th place, just missing a spot in the NCAA Championships by one shot. Pisani's score of 209 at the regional tied a season and career low.

Pisani has played in 44 career tournaments, consisting of 134 rounds and collected 18 top-20 and nine-top-10 finishes.
