Jillian Tyler has been named to Swimming Canada's Pan Pacific Swimming Championships roster. Canada, along with Austalia, Japan and the United States, will compete at the championships in Irvine, Calif., August 18-22.

Tyler made the team and will race in her fastest event, the 100 breast. The Calgary, Alberta native is no stranger to international swimming experience as she competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics. During her Olympic debut, Tyler clocked a time of 1:18.13 and placed 13th in the world.

In her collegiate career, Tyler continues to dominate the 100 breast at the Big Ten level. A three-time 100 breast champion at the Big Ten Championships, Tyler has also been a two-time national runner-up in the same event. Helping the Gophers in the relays, Tyler and the 400 medley relay were also All-Americans last season.
