Athletics Honored for Cost Effectiveness

The University of Minnesota Athletics Department ranks sixth nationally and first in the Big Ten in the inaugural College Athletics Cost Effectiveness Scorecard (CACES), released recently by Penn State University, York.
The CACES study evaluated 116 colleges in 11 major Division I conferences for the 2006-07 athletic/academic year and compared each university's expenditures on athletics compared to the number of points earned in the Director's Cup.
