Gophers Host Intrasquad Game on Sept. 25

The Minnesota baseball program begins the Steak N' Beans Series this week with the annual Family Day Intrasquad game at Siebert Field on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 12 p.m.
It will continue on Friday, Oct. 1 at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2 at 4 p.m. Game four will be on Friday, Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m. followed by the fifth game which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 12 p.m. The Steak N' Beans Series will wrap up on Friday, Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 12 p.m.
The Steak N' Beans Series will match the Gold team against the Maroon team in the seven-game series. The Gold team will have Ryan Abrahamson, Dan Olinger, Kurt Schlangen, Michael Handel, Kyle Geason, Drew Hanish, Kyle Crocker, Justin Gominsky, JT Canakes and Bobby Juan as position players. The Gold team pitching staff will be comprised of Tom Windle, Phil Isaksson, Dustin Klabunde, Cullen Sexton, Scott Matyas, Kevin Kray and Scott Fern.
The Maroon roster will consist of Nick O'Shea, Matt Halloran, Sam Ryan, AJ Pettersen, Billy Soule, Matt Puhl, Andy Henkemeyer, Ethan Liederman, Trip Schultz, David Bettenburg and Troy Larson. The pitching staff will be comprised of D.J. Snelten, TJ Oakes, Luke Rasmussen, Alex Tukey, Billy Soule, Kyle O'Shea and Tim Ryan.
Minnesota's fall practice is underway and continues with the annual Steak N' Beans Series. The Gophers are coming off a season in which they won the Big Ten regular-season and tournament title, and came one game away from advancing to the NCAA Super Regionals.
