GSS Highlights Weekend Champions

The Golden Gopher volleyball and soccer teams captured tournament titles last weekend. Enjoy this Gopher Sports Spotlight highlighting the success of these squads in their home venues.
The volleyball team went 2-1 in the Diet Coke Classic but won the title thanks to a three-set sweep of Dayton. Lauren Gibbemeyer was honored as the Classic MVP. She was joined by Jessica Granquist and Tabi Love on the all-tournament team.
The soccer team swept two games, defeating UC-Santa Barbara and San Diego, to win the Minnesota Gold Classic at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. Gophers Molly Rouse and Cat Parkhill shared MVP honors. Katie Bethke and Kylie Kallman.
Both teams take 5-1 records on the road this weekend.
