Stadium Entry Procedures, Concessions Improved

The University of Minnesota football team's home opener is Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium. The Minnesota athletics department has made improvements to some of its procedures in an effort to make entry into the stadium more efficient. In addition, food service partner Aramark has made adjustments to its concession services in an effort to better serve Gopher fans.
The athletics department surveyed season ticket-holders at the end of the 2009 season and has worked hard to improve the game-day experience at TCF Bank Stadium. Highlights of the changes to this year's entry procedures and concessions are as follows:
- New express entry (fans with no bags) between Gate A and Gate E on the plaza
- Expanded entry through Gate C for all fans, not just students
- New concessions, including a signature Ski-U-Brat cheddar bratwurst,
- Authentic tamales from Twin Cities restaurant La Loma
- Additional portable concessions stations on the concourse
- Improved signage at the concessions windows
- U Matter concessions service guarantee

The 2010 home-opener vs. South Dakota kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday. Gates open at 9 a.m., following the Gopher Victory Walk, which will take place at the Tribal Nations Plaza.
